The May 17, 2024 episode of WWE SmackDown saw Jade Cargill lose her cool. The Women’s Tag Team Champion was facing Nia Jax for a place in the semifinal of the Queen of the Ring Tournament, to face her tag team partner Bianca Belair. However, she got disqualified when she hit The Irresistible Force with a steel chair during the match.
Cargill had brought her young daughter to watch the match from a front-row seat. However, Nia Jax approached the little girl during the bout and told her that her "mommy s**ks". Moreover, she also attacked Cargill when she was speaking to her daughter and telling her not to worry.
While it was The Irresistible Force that got hold of the steel chair first, Jade Cargill snatched it away, only to slam it on her back and get disqualified. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion even tweeted about the incident and suggested that she doesn’t have any regret over her actions. She even warned Jax to never mess with her child.
“and I’d do it again! Never mess with my kid! #Smackdown," wrote Jade Cargill.

Her tweet came in response to a post by WWE showcasing Jade Cargill attacking Nia Jax with the chair. While the powerhouse wrestler was baffled by the disqualification, she didn’t stop hitting Jax, and several officials had to come and separate the two wrestlers.
While she might have lost control in the heat of the moment, her actions have robbed the WWE Universe of a dream match against her tag team partner in the semifinal of the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
WWE Universe loses out on highly anticipated Jade Cargill versus Bianca Belair match
The other half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Bianca Belair, won her quarterfinal match against Tiffany Stratton. After this, she met Cargill backstage during a post-match spot and said she would wait to face her in the semifinal. However, this dream match will now have to wait for another time.
Both Cargill and Belair are phenomenal singles competitors and this is their first run as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. With Nia's controversial victory it means that The EST won’t be facing her partner anytime soon. This also means that their partnership, which is still very fresh won’t develop any cracks just yet.
It will be interesting to see if Belair can avenge Jade Cargill’s defeat next week against The Irresistible Force. The EST, despite having an injured knee will surely want to win the massive semifinal showdown in the Queen of the Ring Tournament this coming week on SmackDown.
