JBL calls 27-year-old WWE star "the best heel in the world"; points to RAW promo where the crowd went "ballistic" (Exclusive)

WWE Hall of Famer JBL has followed the company’s product closely since hanging up his wrestling boots. The legend recently opened up about who he thinks is the best heel in the business.

Dominik Mysterio is regarded as a top heel in the business. JBL was once considered a top villain in WWE and was despised by many fans. On the latest edition of Sportskeeda’s "What Were They Thinking?" available on Backstage Pass, The Wrestling God and Gerald Brisco talked about Dominik’s current position on RAW and how the star was a major babyface when he made his debut.

The legendary duo discussed 'Dirty' Dom's insane transformation from a pure babyface to one of the greatest heels of the modern era.

"I think he's the best! I love Dom. I absolutely love him," JBL said before noting that Dominik did not need any advice. "He's the best heel in the world. He's got it figured out.”

Gerald Brisco also talked about how 'Dirty' Dom’s betrayal of Rhea Ripley further cemented him as the most hated character in WWE and the top heel of the brand. Brisco felt the angle added more value to his character and ensured that fans despised him more than before.

Dominik has a long way to go in the company, as he is still very young. The 27-year-old has all the tools to become a top world champion someday.

During the show, JBL and Brisco also talked about who they believed was the biggest bully in wrestling and discussed Dawn Marie's marriage to Al Wilson.

JBL talked about Dominik Mysterio’s phenomenal work on WWE RAW

It’s amazing to see how well Dominik Mysterio has developed his character on WWE RAW. Many fans view him as a future Hall of Famer simply because of his work with The Judgment Day.

On Sportskeeda’s "What Were They Thinking?" podcast, JBL talked about a promo from 'Dirty' Dom that really impacted his character. He called it one of the best promos in years.

"I was at the arena where he cut a promo which was half in Spanish. The crowd was not a Latino crowd (...) But the place went ballistic," JBL said. "I told Dominik it was the best promo I had seen cut in years."

Dominik is currently working with Liv Morgan to push The Judgment Day’s agenda on WWE RAW. The two heels have done a phenomenal job since getting together at SummerSlam, where Morgan retained her Women's World Title with 'Dirty' Dom's help.
