Jey Uso has finally achieved his goal of winning his first singles WWE championship. A former WWE employee now thinks Main Event Jey could soon go head-to-head against another champion.
Last night on RAW, Jey defeated Bron Breakker in a fierce battle to capture the Intercontinental Championship. Former employee Tommy Carlucci addressed the 39-year-old's first singles title win on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast. He claimed winning his first singles title means "a ton" to the former Bloodline member, pointing out that it elevates him to potentially going one-on-one against the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes soon.
Carlucci, who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company, disclosed that he would love to see Jey and The American Nightmare clash inside the squared circle:
"To Jey alone, it means a ton. It means that this guy is on his way to be, maybe someday very soon, to be up there going against Cody, who knows, right? I would love to see that. I would love to see Cody and Jey go at it, man," he said. [5:14 - 5:33]

Did WWE listen to Rikishi's advice?
Hall of Famer Rikishi recently criticized the Stamford-based company's booking of his son Jey Uso, urging Creative to have a better storyline for the latter than just putting him into a romance angle with Rhea Ripley.
On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Tommy Carlucci wondered if Creative, led by Triple H, listened to Rikishi's advice:
"I like Jey a lot and he's earned every bit of it and maybe they were listening to Rikishi too, ha?" Carlucci said. [5:33 - 5:38]
While many expected Jey to reunite with Roman Reigns and the original Bloodline before he captured the Intercontinental Championship, it would be interesting to see if that would now happen.
