Former WWE head writer Vince Russo feels Jey Uso shouldn't be disappointed by the loss on RAW this week. The Samoan star lost the Intercontinental Championship to Bron Breakker on Monday.
The Bloodline interfered in the Intercontinental Title match on RAW as Solo Sikoa showed up with his henchmen.
On the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo pointed out that Jey had been a prominent star in the company for over a decade. He detailed that The Usos were major attractions in the tag team division before moving on to have successful singles careers.
The veteran writer further claimed Jey's longevity in the company was his reward and not the Intercontinental Championship.
"How long has Jey Uso been in the WWE? 14 years! Do you know how hard it is? Some guys don't even get a shot for 14 days. This guy has been in a prominent position for 14 years. That's the reward, that speaks volumes. Not putting the belt on the guy for four weeks and one title defense. 14 years, bro, he's managed to have an illustrious career. That's the reward." The Bloodline's interference this week caused Jey Uso's title reign to end at a modest 27 days. With Jey's family situation looming over him, it will be interesting to see whether he sides with Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns in the coming weeks.
