Jey Uso shared a heartfelt two-word message on social media today following last night's edition of WWE RAW. The veteran is the reigning Intercontinental Champion after defeating Bron Breakker in the main event of last week's episode of the red brand.
Main Event Jey kicked off last night's RAW with an emotional promo. He was interrupted by Bron Breakker, who seemingly turned babyface and congratulated the 39-year-old on his title win. Jey Uso had never won a singles title before capturing the Intercontinental Championship last week and he took to his Instagram story to share a heartfelt two-word message. "First one," he wrote.
Uso is also currently involved in a romantic storyline with Rhea Ripley on WWE RAW. The Eradicator will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship this weekend at WWE Bad Blood. Dominik Mysterio will be trapped inside a shark cage for the title match at the premium live event on October 5.
Former WWE writer criticizes Jey Uso's promo on RAW
Wrestling legend Vince Russo took Jey Uso to task for his emotional promo during last night's episode of RAW in Evansville, Indiana.
Speaking on this week's edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo questioned why the former Bloodline member was so broken up during his promo last night on the red brand. The veteran noted that professional wrestling was a job, the title was a prop and wondered why wrestlers get so emotional over a championship.
"I don't understand this. The dude was so emotional, he could hardly speak. I don't understand. This is a job. The title is a prop. For the life of me, I don't understand how these wrestlers get emotional over winning a prop. Jey Uso has been around forever, forever." [17:10 onwards]

The WWE RAW star made some changes to the design of the Intercontinental Championship after capturing it. Only time will tell how long Uso can hold onto the title moving forward.
