Roman Reigns seemingly wanted to have a conversation with his cousin, Jey Uso, last Friday on WWE SmackDown. However, the latter walked away. WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry claimed there was only one reason behind the Intercontinental Champion's reaction.
Jey had a fallout with Reigns last year. The two squared off for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2023. However, The Original Tribal Chief defeated Jey after his twin brother, Jimmy, betrayed him. The current RAW star then quit The Bloodline and SmackDown and moved to the red brand. However, Jimmy is currently seeking to recruit his help in their fight against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline, while Roman may not be hundred percent in agreement.
Last Friday, Jey confronted Sikoa about dividing the family. The latter responded by demanding that his big brother acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief, which the Intercontinental Champion did not do. Later that night, the RAW star met Reigns and Jimmy backstage. The Original Tribal Chief told him he and the family were proud of him. Nevertheless, Jey walked away.
On the Busted Open podcast, Mark Henry claimed the Intercontinental Champion's reaction was because Reigns did not apologize. He said:
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
"When Jey told Roman, 'No Yeet' and just walked away from him, it was because Roman didn't do what he was supposed to do. And you know that an admission of guilt and an apology can go a long way because now you've had closure and you allow the power to be to the person whether they can accept your apology or not. Roman didn't extend that to Jey. That's why Jey walked off," he said. [20:52 - 21:36]
WWE legend says Jey Uso won't reunite with the original Bloodline unless Roman Reigns apologizes
Many expect Jey Uso to eventually reunite with his twin brother, Jimmy, and Roman Reigns ahead of a potential WarGames match against Solo Sikoa's version of the group at Survivor Series.
On the same episode of the Busted Open podcast, Mark Henry predicted that Jey would not rejoin forces with The Original Tribal Chief until the latter apologizes to him.
"Jey would not ever go back to The Bloodline until Roman is like, 'Jey, I'm sorry. I let power go to my head. I'm sorry that I pitted you against your brothers. I'm sorry that I put money and being in the main event and holding a title above my love for my cousin.' Until he does that, there's not gonna be no them. Once he does that, now, The Usos are back together. Now, The Usos and Roman are back together," he said.
Former WWE host Matt Camp also claimed that only Reigns can convince Jey to reunite with the original Bloodline. It would be interesting to see if The Original Tribal Chief would achieve that mission.
