Former WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal made his presence felt in the squared circle almost immediately after his 90-day non-compete clause expired. He appeared at tonight's GCW event and attacked Effy.
Jinder was released by WWE earlier this year, along with a bunch of other notable names. He didn't seem very happy with his release, judging by his social media activity back then.
Tonight, Jinder Mahal made his surprise debut in Game Changer Wrestling. The sequence saw Jinder coming out wearing a mask and attacking Effy. He then revealed his identity to a massive pop from the fans in attendance, who showered him with chants of "Holy sh*t."
Mahal then took to Twitter to react to his GCW debut:
"Game changed, history written. @GCWrestling_."
Mahal instantly became a top free agent after his clause expired. He was the 50th WWE Champion and a top heel on SmackDown back in 2017. Following his months-long reign as the WWE Champion, Mahal spent the rest of his run as a mid-card act.
Now that The Maharaja is back in action, his ardent fans can't wait to see him set the independent scene on fire. Judging by tonight's events, it looks like Mahal will kick off a feud with Effy.
