WWE commentators Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett recently bid adieu to Monday Night RAW. However, the two will have a major role to play after the red brand's debut on Netflix on January 6.
Tessitore debuted as RAW's play-by-play commentator alongside Bad News Barrett on September 2, 2024. After calling the action for four months, the duo will be replaced by the returning pairing of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee at the show's Netflix Premiere.
Ahead of the historic episode of the red brand, Wade Barrett posted a social media update revealing he will team up with Joe Tessitore and Big E to host the RAW Post-Show on January 6. The five-time WWE Intercontinental Champion pointed out that the trio will be live on the Netflix YouTube channel and the wrestling promotion's social platforms after RAW ends.
"Join me, @joetess & @wwebige for an UPGRADED post-show IMMEDIATELY following the #WWERaw debut on Netflix this Monday! One of the biggest shows in @wwe history will require a major debrief. Catch us live on the Netflix YouTube channel and all WWE social platforms as soon as Raw ends 👊🏻," he wrote.

Triple H reveals Joe Tessitore's new role on Friday Night SmackDown
Michael Cole and Pat McAfee's upcoming return to Monday Night RAW leaves Corey Graves as the sole commentator on SmackDown. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recently revealed that Joe Tessitore will join the 40-year-old on the blue brand's show.
The Game made the revelation during his recent appearance on SI Media with Jimmy Traina. He stated that the 54-year-old had been a wrestling fan even before joining WWE. Triple H further revealed how he became friends with Tessitore:
"Yes," Triple H replied to being asked if Tessitore would be on SmakDown.[...] He added," He's such a massive fan. Even before he was doing anything with us, Joe would text me on stuff. We became friends through Nick [Khan]. He would be telling me, 'I saw on this podcast,' and I don't even know what he'satalking about, and it's my job to know what he's talking about." With Joe Tessitore set to join Corey Graves on WWE SmackDown, it remains to be seen what plans the wrestling promotion has for Wade Barrett. The 44-year-old wrestled his last match in April 2016.
