Although John Cena has established his new career in Hollywood as an actor, the 16-time WWE World Champion is still known for his life's work in the past two decades as the man who best represents World Wrestling Entertainment.

Among his many WrestleMania main events and opponents, there is one name who at the time was very unusual for that top spot. The man in question is Michael Gregory Mizanin, better known as The Miz. For most of his career, the former Intercontinental Champion has worked the mid-card and upper mid-card. At this point, The A-Lister is one of the rare wrestlers of the promotion who can fit into any slot on the card.

Cena faced The Miz at WrestleMania 27 in 2011, where The A-Lister retained his WWE Champion. Their feud has been on-again, off-again. The duo even wrestled another match at The Show of Shows six years later—this time with their significant others, Nikki Bella (John Cena's ex) and Maryse (The Miz's wife).

The latest episode of A&E's Biography: WWE Legends followed the career of The Miz, during which The Leader of Cenation praised his former rival.

"He's the most, not one of the most, the most underrated WWE Superstar in the history of the business," John Cena said about The Miz on A&E WWE Legends.

Their careers have intertwined repeatedly. Interestingly, Cena's last match as of this writing was a Six-Man Tag Team bout on RAW after WrestleMania XL, where he teamed up with The Miz and R-Truth in a winning effort against The Judgment Day.

Randy Orton hopes he gets to wrestle John Cena at WrestleMania with the WWE Title on the line

After John Cena announced his retirement tour at Money in the Bank this past weekend, CM Punk expressed an interest in facing him one last time.

Randy Orton only returned to the ring in November 2023 after sustaining an injury in May 2022 which threatened to end his career. When asked about winning championship gold at this stage in his career on WWE's The Bump in January, The Legend Killer looked back at his rivalry with Cena.

With another decade ahead of him, The Viper is certain that he will win the world title again. But he is not sure about his opponents. This is why he called it a "dream" if there is a scenario in which he and John Cena wrestle for the top prize of the company one last time—but for the first time in singles competition—on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

"A dream match for me would be to somehow find myself in a situation where I'm fighting Cena, at WrestleMania, for the title."

Cena confirmed that WrestleMania 41 will not be where he competes for the last time. Instead, he hopes to work 30-40 dates in 2025.
