The 38th annual WWE Royal Rumble will emanate from the Lucas Oil Stadium on February 1, 2025. In anticipation of the premium live event, Chris Van Vliet shared his predictions for the winner of the 30-man over-the-top-rope elimination match.
As of now, only two Superstars have confirmed their entry into the Men's Royal Rumble Match. On January 6, 2025, during RAW's Netflix premiere, John Cena announced his participation in the prestigious multi-man gimmick match. Meanwhile, on the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman declared that Roman Reigns will be making his massive return to the Royal Rumble after a five-year absence. CM Punk has also teased entering the 2025 Rumble in the past.
Speaking on his AskCVV edition of the INSIGHT podcast, Chris Van Vliet predicted that either The Franchise Player or The Best in the World would win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match. He also acknowledged that the situation could change between the time of this prediction and the premium live event:
"Things can change, things will likely change between now and February 1st. But if I had to guess right now, I think it's either going to be John Cena or CM Punk winning the Men's Royal Rumble," CVV said. [From 32:22 to 32:37]

John Cena makes a bold claim after his appearance on WWE RAW
The Face That Runs The Place claimed that he has his sights set on winning the record-breaking 17th World Championship. During the post-show press conference following RAW's Netflix debut, John Cena addressed his future.
The Cenation Leader stated that he would retire from in-ring competition but would continue to be involved with WWE, emphasizing that he would only leave the company if they fired him:
"I love the WWE, as you all know. I know I’m going to retire, but they'll have to fire me to get me to stop being a part of this place," he said.
Only time will tell if Cena will potentially win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match to capture one more World Title before retiring.
