WWE Superstar John Cena is arguably one of the most popular performers to enter the squared circle. The 16-time World Champion is set to retire from in-ring competition by the end of 2025. Cena will go on a farewell tour next year, competing full-time before calling it a day.
Ahead of The Cenation Leader's retirement, an X (fka Twitter) user, JohnCenaCrews, shared a post to announce he would officially retire all his social media accounts, which posted regular updates regarding Cena. The user noted that although he would stop providing regular updates, he would post about the big moments.
The social media post caught John Cena's attention. The 47-year-old responded by penning down a heartfelt thank you message to the user. Cena noted that he was grateful and sent good wishes:
"Thank YOU. Thank you for being so kind, empathetic, respectful, awesome, informed, beautiful, driven, and somehow using portions of those (and many more gifts and talents) selflessly. All things come to an end. I’m grateful for all you’ve done and cheers to the road ahead." he wrote.

The current WWE Champion would love to wrestle John Cena during the latter's retirement tour
With John Cena set to kick off his farewell tour in 2025, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes shares his honest opinion on potentially competing with the veteran performer.
During his appearance at the Fanatics Fest in New York City earlier this year, a fan asked the 39-year-old on live chat if he wanted to be Cena's first opponent following the latter's return. In response, Cody Rhodes claimed that it would be an honor for him to go up against The Cenation Leader. Rhodes added that he learned a lot from the veteran during his previous run with WWE.
"We get to live in this era. [...] He is definitely a man of his word. When he says it's farewell, it truly is farewell. So, if you've [not] got the Farewell Tour T-shirt, go and get it. I drove around John for a year, and I learned everything I possibly could. [I] didn't realize I was learning so much at the time. It would be the honor of my life to wrestle John Cena in any capacity. He's the GOAT for a reason," he said.
Cody Rhodes, in his most recent in-ring appearance, successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night's Main Event. However, after the match, The Prizefighter took out The American Nightmare with a Package Piledriver. With KO declaring ownership of the coveted Winged Eagle Championship belt, two former allies are expected to cross paths again.
