Wrestling personality and veteran journalist Bill Apter recently spoke about John Cena's final matches with WWE. The star is set to return to the company for a farewell run in 2025.
Earlier this year, the Cenation Leader showed up at Money in the Bank and announced that he would retire from wrestling next year. The star mentioned that he would do one farewell tour with the company and asked all his fans to be part of the final ride.
During a recent Q&A with Wrestlevotes, Bill Apter mentioned that a rookie like Austin Theory could challenge John Cena for a match. He explained that their previous encounter at WrestleMania 39 did not live up to expectations and that the two stars could go at it again.
He felt Theory now has held a couple of championships in the company and is a different wrestler from what he was two years ago.

"This may sound totally insane, but that horrible match he had against Austin Theory years ago. Austin Theory is a different ring performer at this point. I think to see Austin Theory come out and say, 'That match was terrible. It was one of the most awful matches we've ever seen in WWE. Let's do it again, Cena,'" Apter noted.
With RAW moving to Netflix next year, it will be interesting to see when John Cena shows up again on WWE TV.
