John Cena will retire from WWE by the end of 2025. A wrestling legend recently predicted that The Cenation Leader would achieve an unprecedented accomplishment in the Stamford-based company before hanging up his boots. This was one of the Four Horsemen, Arn Anderson.
Cena made a surprising appearance at Money in the Bank to announce that he would step away from in-ring competition in 2025. The 47-year-old and Hall of Famer Ric Flair each hold the record for most world championship reigns recognized by WWE, at 16 each. Speaking on the ARN podcast on The Four Horsemen Network, Hall of Famer Arn Anderson addressed the possibility of Cena breaking that record before retiring.
The 65-year-old claimed the company would book the Greatest Of All Time to win his 17th world title, stating that they cannot miss that chance.
"Well, he'll get that elusive, what is it, 17th world title? [Do you think that's gonna happen for him, they'll crown him?] Yeah, I don't think you can miss, you can't miss with that," he said. [0:22 - 0:33]

Can John Cena become an 18-time world champion before retiring from WWE?
Wrestling veteran Magnum T.A. also discussed John Cena's upcoming retirement on the Straight Talk with The Boss podcast. He made a surprising claim, stating that Cena could have two more world title reigns before hanging up his boots.
The 65-year-old suggested the former Doctor of Thuganomics could win the World Heavyweight Championship, drop it, and capture it again in 2025.
"Well, compared to that thing I watched for the World Heavyweight Title [at Money in the Bank], with that fiasco they had, he could probably win it, drop it, and win it again [inaudible] to be bluntly honest [laughs]," he said.
Cena last held a world title in 2017. His final championship reign lasted only 14 days. It would be interesting to see if the 47-year-old can have another world title run before stepping away from the WWE ring.
