Sportskeeda Senior Editor Bill Apter recently discussed a possible upcoming appearance for John Cena. The 16-time world champion is one of the biggest names in wrestling and a major attraction for the company.
Earlier this year, Cena showed up to Money in the Bank to address the WWE Universe. The Cenation leader detailed that it was time for him to finally hang his boots. However, John wanted to go out with a bang and promised that 2025 would be his last year in the ring. He urged fans to show up and be part of this retirement tour that would span the whole of next year.
Earlier this week during a Q&A segment, Apter mentioned that John Cena was likely to show up at Saturday Night's Main Event. He felt that the Cenation Leader's retirement tour could kick off from the event later this year. The show is set to emanate from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY on December 14.
"I think he's either going to make an appearance or wrestle a match but probably just make an appearance at Saturday Night's Main Event. He may be, he's kicking off his tour in January. So this might be a kickoff to who he's gonna wrestle against starting in January." [From 1:20 onwards]
Earlier this year, John Cena teamed up with The Miz and R-Truth to defeat The Judgment Day on the April 8 episode of RAW.
It will be interesting to see which other talents the 47-year-old star works with during his final run with the company.
