Johnny Gargano has addressed the possibility of him and Tommaso Ciampa splitting up and feuding with each other again. The two WWE stars had multiple matches with each other as friends and foes during their time in NXT.
DIY held the NXT Tag Team Championship when they were on the black and silver brand and captured the WWE Tag Team Championship several months ago on SmackDown. Gargano and Ciampa have turned on each other in the past, and betrayals have been the basis for many storylines wrestling storylines over the years.
During a recent interview with Gorilla Position, Johnny Wrestling was asked whether WWE fans can expect to see him versus Tommaso Ciampa on the main roster. His response was that they get along very well and that things were different compared to before.
"Everyone always asks that; I think it's always going to be the question that's asked of me and Tommaso whenever we're teamed up or against each other—when is that going to happen again? As of right now, speaking in current day, me and Tommaso get along very well, and I don't want to say maybe we're in a different part of our life. We're both dads now, so maybe things are a little bit different for us," said Gargano.

He added that they were excited about the tag team division.
"But I will say we are incredibly excited about the tag team division, incredibly excited about what the future holds for that, incredibly excited about what the future holds for DIY, and I will always say you never know what can happen in the future. Obviously, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, together or against each other, people want to see it, which is a good thing." (1:50-2:30)

At NXT TakeOver: Toronto in 2016, DIY dethroned FTR (The Revival) to win the NXT Tag Team Title. Their run lasted 70 days, as they lost to The Authors of Pain in 2017. Fast forward to July this year, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa ended A-Town Down Under's reign on an episode of SmackDown in July to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.
However, DIY were only champs for 28 days, as they were defeated by The Bloodline. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa took on The Motor City Machine Guns in a number one contender's match for the titles two weeks ago on the blue brand, but they lost. MCMG became champions just a few moments later.
