Judgment Day to finally implode after top WWE Superstar walks out of the stable, claims backstage personality, in a massive twist

A WWE personality has pitched an interesting idea about a member of The Judgment Day finally walking out of the stable and turning babyface. Sam Roberts thinks WWE may be planning the story of Damian Priest forging his own path after possibly parting ways with the heel faction.

Although Judgment Day has been at the top of the mountain in WWE, especially with Damian Priest being the World Heavyweight Champion, the stable isn't the cohesive unit it once was. Amid Rhea Ripley's injury-related absence, the faction has been witnessing inner turmoil, with Priest and Finn Balor getting into arguments. This has raised fears of the popular stable imploding down the line.

On his NotSam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts explained how WWE could be planning to turn Priest into a beloved babyface. He believed the first step in this direction would be for The Archer of Infamy to leave Judgment Day.

Roberts also thought that though Priest would likely give it his all, he would fall short of retaining his WWE World Championship against Gunther at SummerSlam 2024.

"Just based on how the timelines look, if I'm right and they go the way I would like to see it happen and Priest is a babyface by SummerSlam and he loses his title in his ultimate test, then I think the next story we are telling is the rebuilding of Damian Priest. At the same time, he's got Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh to get revenge on. So I think that the short-term plan is the four members of Judgment Day and the long-term is the rebuilding of Damian Priest as a true babyface main event champion who can win the title without cashing in the briefcase," he said. Bully Ray is not a fan of Damian Priest's WWE World Heavyweight Title run

On a recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray said though Damian Priest was making the best of what was given to him, WWE wasn't doing a great job with him as RAW's top champion. Ray believed that Priest's involvement in The Judgment Day was undermining his run with the World Heavyweight Title.

"Now, [with] the WWE [World Heavyweight] Championship being on Priest, I think Damian Priest is doing a really good job as champion, I just think it's muddy and a little blurry because he's so still involved with The Judgment Day. I don't feel like he's been presented as a real singles champion. I think they did what they did with him and put the championship on him for the long-term booking of where they want to get with Gunther."

Damian Priest is currently gearing up for arguably his toughest challenge as champion. At Money in the Bank 2024, he will defend his gold against Seth Rollins.
