"Judgment Day is a freaking joke" - Ex-WWE employee destroys faction after opening RAW segment (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo verbally annihilated the opening segment of RAW, which involved Gunther, Damian Priest, and Judgment Day. The segment led to an all-out melee on RAW.

Gunther started the show discussing his upcoming matchup at Saturday Night's Main Event. He was interrupted by Finn Balor and the rest of Judgment Day, who initiated a beatdown for the World Heavyweight Champion. Damian Priest rushed down to get his hands on Finn, but he, too, fell victim to the numbers game.

This week on the Legion of RAW podcast, Russo criticized how the segment was booked. He felt the stable was not a credible faction because they had been booked weakly for months.

The veteran writer claimed that the fans didn't care about Finn bashing up Priest and Gunther because the group had no credibility.

"At the beginning of the show, you got the Judgment Day getting heat on Priest and Gunther. The problem is two things. These guys are not impressive looking at all, and number two, they have lost as many times as they've won. So now, when they get heat, and they're standing over Gunther and Damian, you want me to believe what?" he continued. [...] "Judgment Day is a freaking joke. And the reason they're a joke is the way that they're booked. I don't believe that they can beat anybody, and no one else watching the show does either. There's zero heat," Russo said. Due to the group's shenanigans on RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Gunther would now defend the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event in a Triple Threat match against Finn Balor and Damian Preist.

It will be interesting to see who walks out as the World Heavyweight Champion this Saturday.
