A current Judgment Day member broke character to send an emotional message to a former WWE Universal Champion. JD McDonagh found some throwback pictures and shared them on social media featuring his mentor Finn Balor.
McDonagh and Balor recently won the World Tag Team Championships from Awesome Truth. They got some help from Liv Morgan, but a win is a win for The Judgment Day. The two Irish stars go way back, with Balor training McDonagh to become a professional wrestler.
In a post on his official Instagram account, "The Irish Ace" shared some throwback photos of his match with the first-ever WWE Universal Champion back in their hometown of Bray, Ireland.
"I was looking back at some old photos today and I found these. This is the last time @finnbalor and I were in our hometown together. 13 years ago, we wrestled in front of about 40 people and 100 empty chairs in our local community center. Today, we're the World Tag Team Champions. If you commit your life to your goals, there is no dream too big," McDonagh wrote.

The photos of the match came from NLW Bray Bash on November 26, 2011. It was a tag team match involving the team of JD McDonagh and Paddy Morrow against Finn Balor and Robbie Morrissey. McDonagh was still known as Jordan Devlin at the time and Finn Balor was using his real name, Fergal Devitt.
The Judgment Day is set for a big night on WWE RAW
The upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW will be held in Dayton, Ohio and it's going to be a big night for The Judgment Day. Rhea Ripley is set to kick things off and address the current situation involving Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan.
Ripley could also discuss Morgan's involvement in how Finn Balor and JD McDonagh got their title match and how they eventually won the World Tag Team Championships. The current Women's World Champion got them the match and helped them win the titles.
Finally, Damien Priest will go face-to-face with Gunther ahead of their match for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Gunther earned the opportunity after winning the 2024 King of the Ring Tournament.
