The War Raiders have been one of the top teams in WWE's tag team division for years. However, it has been four years since they won any tag team gold. Unfortunately, their career suffered a major setback when Erik injured himself last year. Ivar competed in singles matches until the former was out of action.
The War Raiders returned on the October 7, 2024, episode of WWE RAW and competed in the number one contender's tournament for the World Tag Team Championship. They won the tournament and are set to challenge Judgment Day for the titles.

However, before they could get to the title match, they had to face Dominik Mysterio and Carlito tonight on RAW. Erik and Ivar had no problem defeating them. However, after the match, they were jumped by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, who tried to reinjure Erik by attacking the previously injured neck. In the end, Judgment Day stood tall in the ring.
It will be interesting to see if this attack will get the War Raiders fired up for their upcoming title match.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker.
