Karrion Kross appears to be slowly building himself back up in WWE. In January 2024, he returned with a vengeance, introducing his new faction called The Final Testament.

Since getting drafted to RAW as part of the 2024 WWE Draft, Kross has taken it upon himself to break apart what remains of The New Day. He is focused on showing Xavier Woods that the latter has to break out from the shadow of former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.

Meanwhile, Woods is looking to win the Speed Championship, which is currently in possession of Andrade. He and Kingston worked a promo on RAW targetting The Doomwalker this week.

Taking to X/Twitter, Karrion Kross pointed out that the company mentioned their names in the television graphics as "Kofi Kingston with Xavier Woods" rather than "The New Day" or the other way around. He also assured that he is rooting for Woods:

"Despite what’s recently transpired, I’m rooting for Woods. And you should too. Last interview HE did, It said Kofi WITH Woods instead of New Day likes he’s a background guy. The devil is in the details. Pay attention," Karrion Kross wrote.

Xavier Woods has been part of the Stamford-based promotion for a decade but has not won a singles championship yet. However, he has won multiple tag team titles as part of The New Day. On the other hand, both Kofi Kingston and Big E are former WWE Champions.

Andrade only recently won the Speed Championship from Ricochet, who seemingly is finishing up with the company. Xavier Woods is attempting to bring the former AEW star's reign to a screeching halt.

In the Digital Exclusive promo the former NXT Champion responded to above, Woods asserted that he will win his first singles title as part of The New Day, regardless of Karrion Kross and The Final Testament believing that his faction is holding him back.

On X/Twitter, Kross showed support for The New Day star, calling for action. He reminded Woods that the latter has to prove everyone wrong at this point:

"GOOD. Prove me and everyone wrong. Become a champion."

Where this ultimately gets to bears watching, but nevertheless it will be interesting as The New Day's break up is something fans always thought would never happen. They have been together since 2014.
