Kevin Nash and Triple H have been real-life friends for a long time. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer has now provided an update on The Game's future. At the age of 55, The Game will reach retirement age in 10 short years.
Nash and Triple H were part of the backstage group called The Kliq along with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman. The Game is WWE's current Chief Content Officer and head of creative, while Michaels is in charge of NXT.
On a recent episode of the Kliq This podcast, Big Daddy Cool was asked about his insights on Triple H's potential retirement. Nash thought that it was all about perspective, from the changes in WWE ownership to The Game's health and spending more time with family.
"It's a different company now. It's not like it used to be. He doesn't own it. (…) He had already had a health scare. I'm sure that he realizes sh*t that 55-year-old guys realize that 45-year-old guys don't is holding your grandkid. At 55, you start planning because you got one going to college, so you're going to be a grandfather. That's going to happen if you hit 65," Nash said. [50:36 - 51:20]
Triple H suffered a cardiac event in September 2021, which gave him a different perspective on life. His eldest daughter, Aurora, will be in college soon, so the possibility of having grandkids is certainly on the horizon as mentioned by Kevin Nash.
How did Triple H and Kevin Nash become friends?
On an episode of the Kliq This podcast in 2022, Kevin Nash shared that The Kliq was already established before Triple H joined WWE in 1995. Nash loved The Game's work as Terra Ryzing in WCW.
"We would always watch the WCW Saturday show and he was Terra Ryzing at the time. That was his character and he was our favorite guy. Like he was like the Kliq’s favorite guy. (...) He was anointed before he got in because he was Terra Ryzing and then he went out there and tore it up. He worked like the rest of us," Nash said. [H/T: PW Mania]
Kevin Nash has remained friends with Triple H to this day and was even invited to watch SummerSlam earlier this month. Nash was among the Hall of Famers seen at the newly introduced "Legends Suite" during the event's live broadcast.
