Kevin Owens came up short in his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event. However, The Prizefighter believes he was wronged by the referee.
Following the match, Owens delivered a devastating Package Piledriver to Rhodes. He has since been carrying the winged-eagle WWE Championship, declaring himself the rightful champion. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has issued an ultimatum, demanding that Owens relinquish the title by the end of the latest episode of SmackDown.
Owens has now responded to Aldis' ultimatum. He agreed to have a conversation with the GM later during the show but made it clear that it would happen on his terms, one-on-one in the ring with no security guards or office personnel involved.
"I am the true, rightful WWE Champion. I also heard that ultimatum. You know what, Nick? You and I need to have a little discussion. So, I'll come into this arena, but on my terms. That means just me and you alone in the ring, no one else. No security guards, no office cronies. Just me, you, and then we can talk," Owens said.
It remains to be seen whether Kevin Owens will relinquish the winged-eagle WWE Championship during his confrontation with Nick Aldis.
