Kevin Owens' Saturday night ended with an altercation with Triple H as the WWE CCO confronted The Prizefighter for his actions after his match against Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event. Following the shocking turn of events, the SmackDown star took to social media to send a one-word message.
After a heated feud over the last couple of months, KO and Cody Rhodes clashed for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night Main Event. While The American Nightmare was able to retain the title, his victory celebration was short-lived as Owens attacked him after the match and took him out with a Package Piledriver before stealing the Winged Eagle Title.
KO was confronted for his actions by Triple H after the show went off the air. The two got into a heated argument and the WWE CCO even pushed The Prizefighter back. However, Kevin Owens seems unfazed by what transpired at Saturday Night's Main Event as he sent a one-word message, noting that the title now belongs to him.
Bill Apter would like to see Triple H be the Special Guest Referee for the next match between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes
Triple H lost his cool after Saturday Night's Main Event as he shoved Kevin Owens multiple times during the heated argument between the two. While the WWE CCO is unlikely to return to the squared circle, wrestling veteran Bill Apter would like to see him take the role of the Guest Referee in the next inevitable match between Cody Rhodes and Owens.
"[For Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens' next match] Either Triple H special referee or Randy Orton," said Bill Apter.
KO has so far taken out Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton since turning heel. With both stars out of action, it will be interesting to see what's in store for the Prizefighter in the near future as The American Nightmare is likely to be on the sidelines for a while. The next match between the two could be saved for Royal Rumble which is WWE's next big PLE.
