Kevin Owens should be WWE Champion by now and the controversy surrounding the finish to Saturday Night's Main Event has led to things exploding. One error is the reason why he isn't the Undisputed WWE Champion.

At Saturday Night's Main Event, the headlining act was none other than Rhodes vs. Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The iconic Jesse Ventura was at ringside as he fully endorsed and supported Kevin Owens and his pursuit of the title - considering Cody Rhodes to be the villain in this story.

After Rhodes accidentally took referee Charles Robinson out, he hit the stunner and technically got the three-count over Cody Rhodes - meaning that he should be the WWE Champion now if it wasn't for the controversy.

Another referee would come in and get taken out as well and in a rather bizarre finish, Charles Robinson hit the three-count while standing outside the ring.

After Cody Rhodes got the victory, Owens brutally assaulted him after the show went off the air - forcing WWE to take the Champion out on a stretcher. It even led to a mild altercation between Triple H and Kevin Owens backstage.

The fallout from all of this will be incredible. Fans will have to stay tuned to find out what happens next.
