Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell feels WWE has blurred the lines for the feud between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes. The two stars are set to face each other at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14, 2024.
Michael Cole walked out to Owens' car this week for an interview segment. The 55-year-old claimed that he wanted to conduct an unbiased interview. However, KO did not see eye-to-eye with Cole and presented his side of the story. The Prizefighter aired his grievances with Cody Rhodes and even mocked the latter for leaving WWE in 2016 because he could not handle the pressure.
During this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast, Mantell pointed out that Owens actually made some good points during his interview. Kevin's convincing points drew fans in and blurred the lines between right and wrong. According to Dutch, both stars had valid points, making it difficult to pick who was right or wrong in this rivalry.
"Hey, the car interviews with Kevin Owens are starting to get over. What's making them get over is Kevin does such a good job with it. It feels like he's talking from the heart, he's telling the story, and he's never at a loss for words. It's like he's in an argument, he's really trying to get his points across and he's getting his points across. If you say who's right, who's wrong, if you listen to the interview, you don't know who's right. Kevin, he believes in what he's saying and Cody believes what he's saying," Dutch Mantell said. Kevin Owens was not done as he showed up later in the night after Cody Rhodes had a hard-fought battle against Chad Gable. The Prizefighter made a statement by attacking an already weakened Cody and left him writhing in pain in the ring.
It will be interesting to see who comes out on top when these two men face each other at Saturday Night's Main Event next weekend.
