WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston recently shared an update on social media, mocking long-time friend Big E. The two stars were involved in an intense segment on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW.

Big E showed up during The New Day's 10th anniversary celebration on the December 2 episode of the red brand's show. The former WWE Champion offered to resolve the issues between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and be their manager till he gets medically cleared to get inside the squared circle. However, the duo verbally lashed out at the 38-year-old, asking him to leave.

Kingston and Woods mocked their former ally's neck injury, stating that Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, and Edge returned to action from a broken neck, but E was using it as an excuse. After the show, DIY's Tommaso Ciampa took to his X (FKA Twitter) account to note that he also returned to the squared circle despite breaking his neck. Earlier today, Kofi replied to the SmackDown Superstar's post with a one-word response.

"Exactly," he wrote.

Big E opens up about potential career plans amid absence from in-ring action

Amid his absence from in-ring action and WWE television, Big E has been a part of several backstage panels at premium live events.

Ahead of his recent appearance on Monday Night RAW, Big E posted a piece on The Player's Tribune, shedding light on his life journey. While talking about his neck injury, the multi-time Tag Team Champion noted that he was at peace despite possibly not wrestling again in the future. He also mentioned his excitement about exploring new opportunities outside the squared circle.

"You know that thing I said earlier — how I’m someone who spent his past not being able to picture a future? I can picture one now. Which is ironic, I guess, since I broke my neck and can’t wrestle. But I’m at peace. And if that’s truly a wrap on my in-ring career….... I’m excited to explore the paths that are opening up for me in its wake. Whether it’s working for WWE outside of the ring, or it’s hosting, or acting, or voice work, or filmmaking, or so many other things. I feel like there are still so many parts of myself for me to discover," he wrote.

The New Day has arguably been one of the most beloved tag teams in WWE. It will be interesting to see what the creative has in store for Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston following their recent actions.
