This week on Monday Night RAW, The New Day betrayed Big E and abandoned him. On social media, Kofi Kingston continued taking shots at his now-former stablemate.

The New Day is regarded as one of the most decorated factions in WWE history. The group has held tag team championships on multiple occasions. The trio of Big E, Kingston, and Woods have also found individual success while being a part of the faction with Big E and Kingston winning the WWE Championship. Meanwhile, Woods is a one-time King of the Ring Tournament winner.

On X/Twitter, Kingston claimed he woke up "feeling brand new" after ditching Big E on The New Day's 10th anniversary:

"Woke up today feeling brand new…it’s a New Day, yes…it is…" wrote Kofi Kingston.

Vince Russo wasn't pleased with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods' segment with Big E

Vince Russo criticized The New Day's segment from this week's edition of Monday Night RAW. He believes it made zero sense for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to betray their friend Big E for breaking his neck.

On the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo stated that the segment was beyond "unbelievable." He said:

"That Kofi-Woods thing made zero sense. My God, bro. The dude broke his freaking neck, and you want me to believe that two of his closest friends are gonna cut a promo on him because he broke his neck? That was beyond unbelievable."

For weeks, WWE teased a split between Kingston and Woods with the possibility of Woods betraying his tag team partner. However, the New Day duo swerved the WWE Universe by ditching Big E and betraying him for abandoning his stablemates when they needed him the most.

Kingston and Woods will operate as a tag team moving forward. It remains to be seen if an in-ring return for Big E is on the cards for the future.
