Kofi Kingston has shared his thoughts on an up-and-coming star who was abruptly pulled from WWE TV a few months back. Odyssey Jones, who was tagging with Kingston and Xavier Woods, suddenly disappeared from TV in September.

After making sporadic appearances for over two years, Jones began showing up alongside The New Day in August on RAW. However, this association lasted mere weeks as Odyssey Jones was removed from the company's programming after domestic violence allegations surfaced against him.

Soon after, rumors emerged that he was quietly let go by the Stamford-based promotion. As part of The New Day's 10th anniversary celebrations, Kofi Kingston gave an interview to the New York Post, in which he addressed the controversy.

Kingston explained that those in WWE were used to last-minute changes and that he and Xavier Woods were quick to adjust once Jones was out of the equation.

"There have been times where we have known what’s going to happen at a Monday Night RAW for weeks and we work towards that, and then we get into the building, and then all of a sudden, we’re doing the exact opposite. And it’s your ability to adjust and roll with the punches that pulls you up. Nothing ever goes as planned. So all that to say, you know, once Odyssey was out of the mix, we just had to figure out a way to pivot and keep the story going and keep on moving forward, because, as they say, the show must go on. And you figure out the best ways to adjust."

Xavier Woods on growing disagreements between him and Kofi Kingston in WWE

In a recent chat with TV Insider, Woods shared his thoughts on him and Kingston not being on the same page in recent weeks on WWE RAW. Xavier Woods explained that up-and-downs are a part of any close relationship and that their current disagreements are only bound to further strengthen their bond.

"We’re mature adults living in 2024. If I can’t text [Kofi Kingston] or call him and have a genuine conversation about a disagreement, then how strong is our friendship in the first place? It has always been in wrestling where someone gets jealous or someone accidentally hits someone and we’re fighting. The next thing you know I’m making someone bleed in the streets. If that happened, were we really genuine friends? What you’re seeing now is just a maturation of our brotherhood," he said.

RAW is expected to have a special episode dedicated to celebrating The New Day hitting 10 years in WWE. Fans expect Big E, who's been out with injury for over two years now, to reunite with Kingston and Woods during the event.
