WWE is seemingly once again opening its own forbidden door this year. Several superstars have made crossover appearances in the company's new groundbreaking era, and that is set to continue. Officials have just signed Kofi Kingston to a rare booking outside of the company, and the veteran grappler has reacted to the same.
The New Day's high-flyer began his career in late 2005, and worked for a few Northeast Indie promotions such as Chaotic Wrestling, MWF, and NECW, before signing his WWE developmental deal in September 2006. While his historic run with World Wrestling Entertainment began with stints in DSW, OVW, and FCW, Kingston has only appeared in a WWE ring for the past eighteen years.
News broke out earlier that Kingston has been announced for Ego Pro Chicago's Return To The Forge event on Saturday, October 5 at The Forge in Joliet, Illinois. EGO took to X to announce their special guest today.
"It’s a NEW DAY on October 5th! Welcome to the Forge @TrueKofi," wrote EGO with the promotional poster below.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Kingston's rare indie booking will not see the former WWE Champion wrestle a match. The 43-year-old is set to appear for a meet & greet and photo-op with fans. The photo-op is described as limited and cash-only. For the actual event, General Admission tickets are $20, VIP Balcony seats are $30, and second and third-row tickets are priced at $25 each. Kofi also took to X to promote the appearance.
"[eyes emoji] 10/5/24! [fire emoji] who’s coming???" Kofi Kingston wrote.
Kingston and Xavier Woods remain on the RAW roster and continue to tease tension within the tag team as their current storyline moves forward after last week's loss to The Creed Brothers. This came after they failed to dethrone World Tag Team Champions The Judgment Day the week before.
The New Day set for matches on WWE RAW
World Wrestling Entertainment will return to the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana for Monday's RAW. This will be the Bad Blood go-home edition of RAW.

- Kofi Kingston vs. Chad Gable
- Xavier Woods vs. Rey Mysterio
- Last Monster Standing Match: Braun Strowman vs. Bronson Reed
- Jey Uso returns to RAW as Intercontinental Champion
Next week's SmackDown will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. This will be the go-home show for the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, which takes place on Saturday at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
