Veteran wrestler Kurt Angle recently revealed his reasons behind turning down an offer to work with former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle. The 38-year-old was a part of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut between 2018 and 2013.

Riddle allied with Randy Orton during his stint on the main roster. RK-Bro became hugely popular among fans, and they also went on to become RAW Tag Team Champions. The tag team ended prematurely after The Viper suffered an injury in 2022.

The Pennsylvania native was released by the company in September 2023. Interestingly, in a recent episode of the Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medalist shared that WWE had reached out to him a couple of years ago with an offer to manage Matt Riddle.

However, the legendary wrestler revealed that he let the opportunity pass because the promotion didn't offer him ''the right kind of money.''

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"I will tell you this: I feel a little badly about doing this. But a few years ago, WWE wanted me to manage Matt Riddle. I was into it. I was like, 'Okay, we could have some great vignettes. I think we would have had great chemistry, but it didn’t happen unfortunately because they didn’t offer me the right amount of money. The money they offered me was really not good. Not to say anything bad about the company, but it was like okay. That was kind of a kick to the nuts kind of an offer," he said. [H/T: Fightful]

Kurt Angle is open to returning to WWE

During the same conversation, the former World Heavyweight Champion mentioned that he would be open to returning to the Stamford-based company in a managerial capacity, provided the promotion offered him the ''right deal.''

“I’m happy doing what I’m doing. But would I consider managing? Yeah, it would have to be the right thing. It would have to be the right deal, the right program. Not only that, but the money has to be right," Kurt Angle said.

Kurt Angle retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 35 following a defeat to Baron Corbin. It will be interesting to see if the veteran returns to WWE in a managerial role in the future.
