What's the story?
As reported by The Sun, WWE Hall of Famer and Raw General Manager Kurt Angle has revealed the details behind a real-life fight that took place between himself and the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
Angle spoke about the incident on Chris Jericho's 'Talk Is Jericho' podcast.

For years, there has been speculation surrounding a rumoured fight between the two that supposedly took place and it seems as if we finally have some answers.
The heart of the matter
The following are a string of quotes from the aforementioned podcast featuring Angle & Jericho, with Angle detailing the incident.
“Someone asked him how I would do against him and he said, ‘He’s too small, I’d kill him.’ So I walked up to him and said, ‘Did you say I’m too small for you that you would kill me?’
He said to me, ‘Kurt, you’re what? 215 (pounds)? I said, ‘I’m 225 (pounds)’. He said, ‘Well I’m 315’. I said, ‘Well, I don’t have a problem, let’s get in the ring’. He said I only have sandals on. I said, ‘Well let’s go in our bare feet’. He said, ‘I don’t want to do it’.”
Some time later, Angle finally locked horns with Lesnar at a house show in North Dakota.
“We had the showdown. It was close. It really was. He had 90 pounds on me, but I probably took him down into the ropes a good 7-8 times. He used the ropes to say we’re out of bounds. That’s OK. I did take him down once. He didn’t take me down at all.
It was really close, but to me, Brock wasn’t the wrestler I was. I know Brock doesn’t want to hear this, but Brock is a beast."
What's next?
It's highly unlikely that we'll hear Brock's side of this story, but considering how tight Angle is with the WWE now it doesn't seem as if he'd lie about something like this.
In terms of the future, perhaps we'll see the two men go one on one once again somewhere down the line, with Angle rumoured to be getting back in the ring following his stint as Raw GM.
Author's take
We don't doubt the validity of this for a second because Kurt truly is and was in a league of his own when it comes to amateur wrestling. That Olympic gold medal isn't just a tagline, it actually happened and Angle’s abilities on the mat need to be appreciated.
Sure, Lesnar is still a monster, but Angle is a Wrestling Machine. Oh, it's true, it's damn true.
