Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke about LA Knight's match on SmackDown. The star put his United States Championship on the line this week.
Knight faced Andrade in a US Title match this week on the blue brand. During the final stages of the match, The Megastar went up to the top rope to catch Andrade but slipped. However, he didn't let the botch affect his concentration and caught his opponent into the BFT for the win.
During this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell claimed that fans understood that sometimes botches couldn't be avoided on live TV. He claimed both stars, especially Knight came out of the match looking good. The legend stated that the match quality easily overshadowed the botch in the ring.
"Even with the screw up, it made sense and they ended it right then. It worked out in LA Knight's favor. I think people understand that you're not gonna do every move perfectly. So he messed it up, not once but twice. Still, he moved out of the dropkick which is fine and we did the finish. I think it was good." [From 17:36 onwards]
With another successful title defense, LA Knight has cemented himself as the man to beat on the blue brand. It will be interesting to see who will emerge as the next challenger to The Megastar's title.
