As World Wrestling Entertainment moves to the Netflix streaming platform in January 2025, LA Knight's position in the company appears unclear. He dropped the United States Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura last Saturday at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
It won't be wrong to call WWE's Netflix deal a huge step forward. Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette questioned Triple H's decision to have The Megastar's reign end this close to it. Speaking on his podcast, Jim Cornette blasted Shinsuke Nakamura's win because Nakamura was inactive for months and had not been built up properly. He wondered what LA Knight did that was so bad for the company to book him in this manner.
He also pointed fingers at the Chief Content Officer for allowing it to happen. Cornette felt Knight must have "personally offended" The Game for things to have come to the present situation.
"The question now is, who has LA Knight personally offended and why is his name Triple H?" Jim Cornette stated. "What could you do as a person to make people so dislike you that they will—you rehab yourself from being the chariman of a male modeling agency, named Max Dupri, and go back to your previous gimmick, get over with the people; they're cheering, chanting. Then you finally win the US Title and you work with mid-card guys and get stuck working with nobody in the main events and then get beat in 10 minutes by this f**king fellow." [From 4:02 to 5:08]

Jim Cornette speculated that somebody among the higher-ups in WWE possibly disliked LA Knight, and Knight had probably done something to annoy the current regime.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson being back in WWE has affected LA Knight, says Magnum T.A.
LA Knight has been accused of lifting character traits of WWE legends such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. The Undertaker recently brought this up. Wrestling veteran Magnum T.A. feels Dwayne Johnson's return has affected Knight negatively.
Speaking on the podcast Straight Talk with The Boss, Magnum T.A. stated that The Megastar had great momentum last year and had the crowd dancing to his tunes. However, he has not recovered since The Final Boss hit the screens.
"Just when you look at the last 12 months of LA Knight and look at how strong he was coming along before The Rock came back. And they were buzzing on him. He was working these people. They were chanting his name. And it was like he never really recovered from The Rock coming back. You know, he never regained that momentum," Magnum T.A. said.
The Megastar's US Championship win, his first title in the sports entertainment giant, took place at SummerSlam in August, where he defeated Logan Paul. This year also marked his WrestleMania debut.
