LA Knight screws two WWE stars out of a major title match on SmackDown

LA Knight was the Special Guest Referee for the Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes match on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. The two stars collided in a #1 contender's match for the Intercontinental Championship.

El Idolo nailed Melo with a back elbow immediately after the bell rang. They had a brawl on the outside, and Andrade hit Carmelo with a few kicks in the corner. Carmelo Hayes used LA Knight as a shield to attack his opponent. Andrade pushed Melo to the floor and took him out with a suicide dive.

The two WWE stars crashed on the mat after performing an inverted Spanish Fly. Andrade hit a spinning bulldog and got a two-count. He hit a few kicks and tried to go for The Message but instead pulled out a Canadian Destroyer. El Idolo hit a meteora in the corner and got a two-count.

Carmelo Hayes accidentally kicked LA Knight, sending the latter to the floor. He countered a suplex into a cutter, but LA attacked both stars. He nailed both of them with a BFT, rang the bell, and declared himself as the winner. Nick Aldis announced backstage that the US Title will be defended in a triple threat match at WWE Crown Jewel.
