WWE Superstar LA Knight will be facing Shinsuke Nakamura at the Survivor Series to defend his United States Championship. Ahead of the premium live event, however, the Japanese wrestler left The Megastar with a ‘black-eyed' appearance. Now, Knight has sent a message to Nakamura.
Andrade had challenged The King of Strong Style to a match this week on SmackDown. The WWE Speed Champion believed that Shinsuke Nakamura was cutting the line and getting a title shot after a sudden return, which was unfair. However, the Japanese wrestler defeated him to prove he deserved the title shot.
Following the match, LA Knight entered the ring to attack Nakamura. However, the 44-year-old dodged The Megastar’s fist and spit mist into his face. The liquid completely covered LA’s face, the black dye giving him a ‘black-eyed’ look as he flailed his limbs, allowing Nakamura to walk out.
Knight was being attended to by medical staff backstage when Byron Saxton approached him for an interview, asking him if he was still available for the title match. This annoyed the already angry champion, who asked Saxton if this was the only time to talk. However, he didn’t fail to deliver a message to his challenger ahead of Survivor Series.
“Why don't we talk about the fact that the guy's been gone for a little bit and all of a sudden, he shows up, and he's got a problem with me? He's got a problem with this guy (points to himself), and he should. But at this point, here's the problem. He's gonna have a real, real big problem. Because here's the thing. I've been in survival mode. I have lived and breathed it.”
LA Knight also declared he won’t be forfeiting from the PLE and will defeat Nakamura in Vancouver.
“So for Survivor Series, no, no, no, no, I'm gonna walk in there. I'm gonna thrive. I'm gonna continue to be the US Champion because that's what I am. That's what I do. So I tell you what, am I gonna leave? Am I gonna decide that I'm not gonna go to Survivor Series? No, no, I'm gonna be right there. I'm gonna be looking you dead in your eyes whether they're bloodshot or not. It's me dropping you on your head free the hard way. It's no other way it can go with everybody saying, LA Knight. Yeah,” he said.
Shinsuke Nakamura has said that he will prey on LA Knight's insecurities and dethrone him on November 30. It would be interesting to see if the Japanese wrestler can overcome The Megastar and earn the US Title for the third time in his WWE career.
