LA Knight looked to regain the Men's United States Championship on WWE SmackDown this week. Unfortunately for The Megstar, the new Bloodline prevented that from happening.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry noted that fans seem disinterested in the ongoing program centered on the US Title. Henry clarified that it is not the fault of the talents involved but the hand they are dealt with. LA Knight and champion Shinsuke Nakamura kicked off their program back in November 2024.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Mark Henry discussed the title match from Friday, stating that it was "lazy booking" by WWE to go right into another rematch between The Megastar and Nakamura. The Wayward Samurai won the belt from Knight at Survivor Series: WarGames and the latter has since been feuding with the new Bloodline while trying to recapture the title. Henry pointed to the lack of a good story:

"It's amazing how they put two guys that are kind of like in the same boat against each other. They're both trying to climb to the top, but they haven't exactly put the best story with those guys. I've seen some smearing of — not boos, but like, lack of interest in their matches. I'm not making it up. I'm not hating on them. I like both of them, actually. I mean, I wish that there would be different things done," Henry said. [From 27:41 to 28:21]

The new Bloodline continues to target LA Knight on SmackDown. However, after the title match ended in a disqualification finish, Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso sprinted to the ring to even the odds and wound up facing Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga in the show's main event.

LA Knight comments on potentially teaming up with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes

During a recent conversation with WittyWhittier, The Megastar touched upon a bevy of topics, including factions. He revealed that he had articulated an idea for one of his own, but it was not taken up. Although he wound up getting introduced on the main roster as the leader of a faction, it was nowhere close to how Knight had envisioned it.

He then got to a potential super team. While it could only be for a short period of time, Knight feels that joining forces with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes would be the perfect combination:

"If you were going to do like a big three, Miami Heat LeBron super team, or something like that, you know, probably, I don't know, me and Cody and Roman or something. We'll do something like that," LA Knight said.

The Megastar's current position in WWE has been questioned by veterans, raising concerns that the company may have dropped the ball on him.
