At best, Lacey Evans' WWE run was questionable, as the management could never settle on a particular gimmick for the star on either brand. Recently, she opened up about her career following her release and explained her move behind creating exclusive content.
Earlier this year, Lacey Evans was in her final run with the promotion after a failed attempt to rebrand her with a new gimmick. The company ran several vignettes for weeks, but fans were not interested in Evans going through another reboot on WWE's main roster.
Later, her time with WWE ended when she was quietly released from the promotion. Speaking on Road Trip AFTER HOURS with Teddy Long and Mac Davis, Evans discussed her move to exclusive content following her release from the promotion. Check it out:
"It's something different than I would've never imagined that I would fall into but I've never felt more s**y in my life... I've never done anything like this for myself and whenever I get to do videos and talk to the fans and take these photos... I feel beautiful, I feel amazing, and the fact that you could create a general wealth or income from the same photos." (From 21:40 to 22:20)

Evans isn't the only one to enter the world of exclusive content. Last year, Mandy Rose was fired from the promotion after making her way to exclusive content while still under contract.
Lacey Evans, aka Macey Estrella, opens up about her WWE departure
In 2016, Lacey Evans started her career with the promotion and joined the developmental brand. After three years, she received her main roster call-up, where she worked with the likes of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
After seven years, Evans was released from her contract and began her new journey outside of WWE. Speaking to The Island News, The Sassy Southern Belle spoke about her departure from the promotion. Check it out
“I thought I could be of more assistance fighting a different fight than in the WWE ring. I want to focus on helping my community to fight against addiction and fight on the mental health side to normalize mental health issues.”
