Former WWE Superstar Lacey Evans left professional wrestling after getting released from the Stamford-based company. The Sassy Southern Bell recently opened up about potentially returning to the squared circle.
The 34-year-old signed with the global juggernaut in 2016. Lacey Evans featured in a variety of storylines during her time with the wrestling promotion with limited success. She announced her departure from the company in August 2023.
During a recent conversation with Carlo Perruzza, Lacey Evans opened up about her potential return. The former WWE Slammy Award winner claimed she loves wrestling despite not having the passion for it. However, she further pointed out that currently, she has several other things to focus on instead of making an in-ring return:
"Yeah, I mean, I love wrestling, don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t my passion, but I love the hard-hitting action. If there’s a company out there that will bring me in to kick a** and get my a** kicked, that’s great. But right now, we are focused on a lot. We have a lot of investment properties. We invested from all the blessings that WWE has given us. We have a construction company, [and] my husband’s a general contractor, which we’ve ran prior to WWE. So we do a lot. We also teach our kids work ethic. We have Air BNBs, we have properties, [and] we have a cafe named after our girls. I homeschool, I take all that very, very serious," she said. [H/T: Fightful]

Lacey Evans reveals why she left professional wrestling
Despite not winning any championships, Lacey Evans was one of the top stars on the roster before her sudden departure from WWE.
During her appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Evans revealed that wrestling was never her passion despite being with WWE for seven years. She further mentioned the struggles of being a performer for the company:
"I've had a lot obviously reach out. But I did WWE for seven years, and it was never my passion, that was never a secret. It was incredible to see my fellow sports entertainers [succeed]. That is their passion. It was an incredible opportunity. But it was a lot for whenever you compare what your passion is, and you're wise, and WWE is very, very difficult. If you're on the road well over 300 days a year, they want a lot from you," she said.
