2025 will be John Cena's last run in WWE, and many have dreaded the day The Leader of Cenation retires. Recently, wrestling analyst Sam Roberts stated Cena could lose in his final match and officially retire from wrestling against Randy Orton.

John Cena has been counting the days for his retirement tour, which would be his final year in the Stamford-based promotion as a full-time performer. Many names have thrown their names in the hat as The Leader of Cenation's opponents in the coming months.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, WWE analyst Sam Roberts was asked if John Cena would turn heel in his final run. The analyst had a unique take on the theory and predicted a PLE for The Leader of Cenation in December, where he can officially retire after losing to Randy Orton:

“That’s the legacy, and that’s a good legacy, and people appreciate that now, I think maybe they didn’t at the time, but now it’s like, we love our John Cena the way he is. I think you have you’ll have this great two months where we’re appreciating the year that he’s given us. We’re appreciating his entire career, and that’s when he starts going through some of the greatest hits," Roberts said.

He added:

"And then we get to December, whether it’s a PLE, maybe it’s John Cena his own PLE. John Cena gets his own PLE in December, and it’s all about she’s a tribute to him, and that’s where the main event is Cena and Randy and Cena loses," Roberts said. [H/T - CVV]

John Cena's last singles match took place at WWE Crown Jewel 2023

Last year, John Cena returned to WWE for a short run on Friday Night SmackDown and locked horns with The Bloodline. The Leader of the Cenation went head-to-head with Solo Sikoa.

After defeating him and Jimmy Uso at WWE Fastlane alongside LA Knight, the veteran spent weeks feuding with The Enforcer. The two had a match in Saudi Arabia, which Sikoa won.

A few months later, John Cena appeared at WrestleMania XL and got his revenge against Solo Sikoa when he put him through an announce table. On Monday Night RAW, he appeared and assisted The Awesome Truth to get a win against The Judgment Day.
