Liv Morgan lived up to her words and retained the Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley at WWE Bad Blood 2024. With Morgan's boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, locked inside a shark cage high above the ground, the match was supposed to be a fair contest. However, things didn't turn out the way Ripley would have wanted.
Dominik Mysterio tried to escape the cage but got hung up, allowing Ripley to deliver some kendo stick shots to her former boyfriend. However, Liv Morgan's long-time friend, Raquel Rodriguez, returned to help her retain the title.
During the WWE Bad Blood Press Conference, Morgan addressed Dominik's situation and disclosed that her boyfriend was okay, with Rodriguez taking care of him. She also discussed her match with Ripley and claimed that Big Mami Cool was bigger and stronger than the former Judgment Day member.
"'Dirty' Dom is okay. He's in medical. Raquel is overseeing him right now. I did exactly what I said I would do. I beat Rhea Ripley because I'm smarter. You know who is bigger and stronger than Rhea Ripley? My old tag team partner, Raquel Rodriguez," Morgan said. [5:28 onwards]
