Liv Morgan will defend her Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam. A WWE personality believes the 30-year-old will have a "nasty makeout" with another superstar after the match.
The superstar in question is Dominik Mysterio. Over the past several weeks, Morgan has been pursuing Dirty Dom on Monday Night RAW, trying to steal him away from Ripley. Although the former NXT North American Champion told the Women's World Champion that he hated her and thought she ruined his life last Monday, WWE personality Peter Rosenberg believes a significant swerve in the storyline will happen at SummerSlam.
On his Cheap Heat podcast, Rosenberg predicted that Dominik would betray Ripley at The Biggest Party of the Summer and cost her the match. The 27-year-old would then have a makeout session with the Women's World Champion:
"So, he goes over the top, wins Rhea back over, he tells Liv, 'I hate you' so everyone know he hates her and they're done, and then at SummerSlam, he is going to screw Rhea over and him and him and Liv are finally gonna give us the nasty makout that everyone's been waiting for," he said. Ex-WWE host Matt Camp also thinks Dominik Mysterio will betray Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam
On his The Wrestling Matt podcast, former WWE host Matt Camp also discussed the recent developments in the love triangle between Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Dominik Mysterio. He predicted the former NXT North American Champion would betray his Mami and side with the 30-year-old Women's World Champion.
Camp explained that Dominik siding with Morgan would have to happen for a significant booking reason, pointing out that a babyface Ripley cannot be with a heel like Dirty Dom:
"Rhea Ripley ain't gonna be a babyface with Dominik Mysterio standing next to her. And she is a babyface. And she's been a babyface since she beat Becky at WrestleMania and probably before that and since Liv drove her arm into a wall and injured her. She is a top five person in the company that's a babyface. Dirty Dom with Rhea is not a babyface. And based on that, I am fully expecting Dom to side with Liv," he said.
Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci has also given his take on the storyline, addressing the possibility of Finn Balor being the one to cost Ripley the title at SummerSlam before revealing himself as Morgan's co-conspirator. It would be interesting to see how this angle will play out at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
