Logan Paul is set to defend his United States Championship for just the third time at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event. Ahead of the all-important match, The Maverick recently shared his reaction to a nickname given to him on social media.

The 29-year-old defeated WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel 2023 to win the United States Championship. He recently completed 260 days as the champion, making his title reign the longest in the last decade.

Logan Paul will defend his title against LA Knight this Saturday in Cleveland. Ahead of the highly-anticipated contest, the YouTube Sensation took to Instagram to give himself a new nickname. He posted a video compilation of him performing iconic wrestling moves during his matches and in the caption The Maverick wrote "Mr. Steal YO Finish."

The United States Champion shared the post on his Instagram story and wrote the same, followed by a smirk emoji.

Former WWE host believes LA Knight will defeat Logan Paul at SummerSlam

LA Knight and Logan Paul have been feuding for several weeks. The Megastar pinned The Maverick in the Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat match last month on Friday Night SmackDown. The contest also featured Legado del Fantasma's leader, Santos Escobar.

On his The Wrestling Matt Show podcast, former host of WWE's The Bump Matt Camp stated Knight could end Paul's record title reign at The Biggest Party of The Summer. He further speculated the challenger would have the crowd by his side despite the champion competing in his home state:

"Logan Paul and LA Knight could be very fun as a build. And LA Knight getting that elusive singles championship, and I don't count the Million Dollar Title; getting that elusive championship would get a big pop at Cleveland. And Logan [Paul], no one is gonna cheer him even though he's from there anyway," he said. [From 48:10 - 48:30]

LA Knight is one of the most popular babyfaces on the entire roster. However, despite his impressive performances in the ring and on the mic, he has yet to win a championship since he joined the main roster. It remains to be seen if The Megastar will finally get his hands on a title at SummerSlam.
