WWE Superstar Logan Paul recently opened up about his potential return to the boxing ring. The United States Champion, however, also talked about his current run as a professional wrestler.
The 29-year-old made his WWE debut at WrestleMania 38 where he teamed up with The Miz to defeat the father-son duo of Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. Before his appearances on the Stamford-based company's programming, however, the social media star had a few boxing matches, one of which was against Floyd Mayweather. His younger brother Jake Paul has boxed several people as well.
On July 20, Jake Paul defeated former UFC star Mike Perry in a boxing match by technical knockout in the sixth round. After his brother's major win, Logan Paul spoke to Fred Talks Fighting about his potential return to the boxing ring. The Maverick also stated that he is the United States Champion and believes he is better at wrestling in comparison to boxing.
"I'll only hop back in the ring with a fight that excites me. I don't have that desire to. [On being asked if a rematch with Floyd Mayweather excites him] No. No, I felt like I did the Floyd thing. You know, I need to be inspired by the dance part. I [have] got a good thing going on in the WWE, bro. I'm the United States champion, and I'm much better at wrestling than I am at boxing," he said. Former WWE host believes Logan Paul will lose his title to popular star
Logan Paul has been involved in a heated rivalry with LA Knight for several weeks. The Megastar pinned the United States Champion in the Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat match on the June 28 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The two are set to lock horns in a title match at SummerSlam.
On his The Wrestling Matt Show podcast, former host of WWE's The Bump Matt Camp predicted that LA Knight could end Logan Paul's title reign at the Biggest Party of The Summer. He also claimed that the challenger would have the crowd by his side despite the champion competing in his home state:
"Logan Paul and LA Knight could be very fun as a build. And LA Knight getting that elusive singles championship, and I don't count the Million Dollar Title; getting that elusive championship would get a big pop at Cleveland. And Logan [Paul], no one is gonna cheer him even though he's from there anyway," he said. [48:10 - 48:30]
