WWE Survivor Series: WarGames has historically seen wrestlers come out changed from when they entered the steel structure. However, it seems that Jacob Fatu could have taken that too seriously.
Fatu went for a corkscrew-style move from the top rope during the WarGames Match, but completely missed his target and landed at the side of CM Punk clutching his leg. This then took the Samoan Werewolf out of the match for several minutes as Bronson Reed checked on him and the WWE Universe held their breath.
Fatu was able to get back up and continue the match, but it was clear that he was holding his leg and limping when he moved around the ring. This wasn't the first time the 32-year-old had suffered a leg injury, having worn a protective cast for several weeks, earlier this year.
The Samoan Werewolf did finish the match despite the injury and it appears that he slipped on the top rope as he was about to swivel into a Corkscrew and reacted as if he had really injured his leg.
He will undoubtedly be assessed following the match, and WWE will release a statement on his injury once he has been observed by medical professionals.
