Another year is winding up, and WWE has begun its Road to WrestleMania a little early this time. Unusually, next year's Royal Rumble and The Show of Shows will happen in February and over Easter weekend, respectively.
Royal Rumble 2025 is scheduled to emanate from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 1. It seems NBA star Tyrese Haliburton wants to be there as the show is happening in his hometown. Haliburton has previously made appearances for WWE. Notably, he escorted Logan Paul for the former United States Champion's Money in the Bank qualifier match against LA Knight and Santos Escobar on the June 28 episode of SmackDown.
When Landon Buford asked Tyrese Haliburton about possibly hosting WrestleMania 41 or making an appearance at the Royal Rumble on account of it being in his hometown, the NBA star teased it. WWE has expressed an interest in bringing him and Jalen Brunson back in some capacity for future shows.
"You might see it. I can’t tell you everything, but you might see me at the Rumble," Tyrese Haliburton said. [From 0:12 onwards]

Is Gunther vs. Goldberg going to happen at WWE Royal Rumble?
Tommy Dreamer discussed Goldberg's final match and subsequent retirement scheduled for 2025. He noted that Gunther is a "perfect" opponent for the former Universal Champion. Dreamer also feels Royal Rumble is an ideal spot for this first-time-ever marquee match to take place.
While plans can change between now and then, there is disappointing news for fans of the WCW legend regarding this potential match happening three months from now. Dave Meltzer reported on F4WOnline that as of this writing, Gunther vs. Goldberg is not planned for Royal Rumble. When the veteran plans to wrestle his final match bears watching.
Nevertheless, The Ring General teased a future showdown with Goldberg after their confrontation at Bad Blood on October 5 in the latter's own Atlanta, Georgia. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther claimed that he would not mind teaching the 58-year-old veteran a lesson if push comes to shove.
