WWE is just over two weeks away from The Biggest Event of the Summer. Tonight's SmackDown will continue the build to SummerSlam, and now a big title match is set to be confirmed after weeks of speculation.

Several matches are official for the 37th annual SummerSlam PLE - Nia Jax vs. Women's Champion Bayley, Rhea Ripley vs. Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, Gunther vs. World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, and Solo Sikoa vs. Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes. There are still several major matches rumored or up in the air, including Logan Paul's next televised title defense, which will be just his third.

The Maverick was recently challenged by LA Knight for SummerSlam, and a major potential spoiler was revealed. The Megastar received a contract for the title shot, but the champion has refused to sign it until now. Officials have confirmed that a SummerSlam contract signing for Knight vs. Paul will air on tonight's live SmackDown.

Nick Aldis had previously confirmed Logan for tonight's show, but the SmackDown preview was fueling speculation about whether he would sign Knight's contract. The contract signing is now official.

Tonight's WWE SmackDown will air live from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. WWE has also announced the following for the show: Cody Rhodes will address The Bloodline, Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes, and Tiffany Stratton vs. Mia Yim.
