Major Tag Team match added to WWE SmackDown

The 2024 WWE Draft will kick off tonight during the live SmackDown from Cincinnati, Ohio. A popular star is set to return to TV tonight and a long-term storyline will continue as a big match was just announced.

WrestleMania XL saw Rey Mysterio and Andrade defeat Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar, thanks to NFL stars Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson. Dragon Lee was originally set to team with Rey, but he was attacked backstage by a mystery man. Legado del Fantasma denied any involvement in the attack, but The LWO isn't buying it.

El Toro Rojo will make his in-ring TV return tonight as he teams with The Master of The 619. They will go up against Angel and Berto, as just announced by the company.

"Since the mysterious attack on Dragon Lee that denied him an opportunity to team with Rey Mysterio against Santos Escobar & 'Dirty' Dom Mysterio at WrestleMania, Legado del Fantasma has categorically denied involvement in the incident. As speculation continues to run rampant, Lee returns to action tonight to join forces with The Master of the 619 against Angel & Berto. As of this writing, WWE has not announced any other matches for tonight's SmackDown, which will also serve as Night 1 of the 2024 Draft. However, a Backlash contract signing for AJ Styles vs. WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will take place, and the company is teasing what's next for Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga after their attack on Kevin Owens.
