The Wyatt Sicks arrived on WWE RAW just over 100 days ago. The sinister faction has dominated the red brand ever since, winning their first rivalry. Amid speculation about the group's next chapter, a previous critic of the storyline is making bold remarks about potentially getting involved.
Uncle Howdy, aka Bo Dallas, brought the stable to RAW in mid-June: Abby The Witch, aka Nikki Cross; Huskus The Pig Boy, aka Joe Gacy; Mercy The Buzzard, aka Dexter Lumis; Ramblin' Rabbit, aka Erick Rowan. The group battled American Made for weeks but ended the rivalry by winning a six-person Street Fight weeks back. While The Wyatt Sicks are one of the premier factions on RAW, Gunther dominates red brand singles action. The World Heavyweight Champion made headlines in early July after discussing The Wyatt Sicks.
The Ring General felt it was hard to judge The Wyatt Sicks as he's not big on "spooky stuff" or the supernatural. Gunther admitted that fan reactions indicated a "big interest" in the storyline but said he hadn't paid too much attention. The RAW Superstar added that if anyone can make it work, it would be Triple H. Gunther is interested to see how things will play out, and he hopes The Wyatt Sicks will find success. The former WALTER has now changed his tune a bit.
As he told Metro UK, the Imperium boss has a specific idea of how pro wrestling should be presented. Despite his beliefs and previous comments on The Wyatt Sicks, Gunther is open to working with WWE's dark faction if needed.
"I have the confidence to say that I will thrive in every scenario that the company could put me in. I think especially when I think some of the some of the best matches I had, or some of the best promos I had were with people that are the complete opposite of me. I think that’s what makes professional wrestling exciting is that we have distinct characters that are different, and when they collide, and often it’s the further apart they are, the better the contrast is, and the more exciting it is for the audience," Gunther said.
Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser have never faced any Wyatt Sicks members. Kaiser and Lumis shared the WWE NXT ring in 2019 for a Halloween Costume Rumble, but that's the closest the two faction members have come to facing off.
WWE teases Gunther's rival vs. The Wyatt Sicks
Sami Zayn has begged Gunther for weeks for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. The match was rumored for WWE Bad Blood but is now official for next Monday's RAW after a heated exchange on tonight's RAW provoked The Ring General into granting the request.
Earlier in the night, Cathy Kelley interviewed a riled-up Zayn backstage. A mystery figure lurked in the background while the Canadian Superstar ranted about Gunther denying his title shot. It's believed that Uncle Howdy was stalking Zayn, fueling speculation on the next feud for Bo Dallas.
WWE also teased a new feud for Gunther on tonight's RAW. After a backstage interview, Bron Breakker appeared and glanced at the World Heavyweight Championship. He then warned that he would see Gunther soon. Breakker dropped the Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso last week.
