Cody Rhodes was involved in a heartfelt moment after his match at the latest WWE live event. The American Nightmare hugged AJ Styles after defeating him, seemingly cementing The Phenomenal One's babyface turn.
AJ Styles has been away from TV programming since losing the I Quit match to Cody at Clash at the Castle. However, The Phenomenal One has been quite active on WWE live events over the last few months. He is also slated to return to SmackDown next week, ahead of which he faced The American Nightmare for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Columbus, Georgia live event on Saturday.
It seems like Styles could return to the blue brand with a new character as he embraced Cody Rhodes despite losing to him at the house show. AJ was at ringside after the loss when the champion heaped praise on him. The two men then hugged to conclude the action-packed evening.

Cody Rhodes will turn heel down the line, says ex-WWE star
While Cody Rhodes may have played a major role in AJ Styles' babyface turn, Matt Camp believes that The American Nightmare could embrace his villainous side down the line.
The former WWE's The Bump host believes we could soon see a match between heel Cody and babyface Roman Reigns.
"I've always had to believe that at some point, and I don't know if that would be the third match or a match two years down the road, that there is a heel Cody Rhodes [vs.] babyface Roman Reigns match that we will get at some point in time that will do massive business," he said.
The American Nightmare has not worked as a heel in many years. He is currently the biggest babyface of the company, with many expecting him to reach John Cena-level of stardom in the coming time. However, Cody still has a long road ahead of him.
