WWE Superstars are often lifelong pro wrestling fans, but usually, their fandom does not end with the squared circle. After a recent major loss and a bold vow on his future, one superstar is publicly reacting to another significant loss today.
Ludwig Kaiser has been praised within the WWE Universe for his recent work with Sheamus. The German grappler defeated The Celtic Warrior on RAW in early June. The feud continued as Sheamus eyed Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, as did Bron Breakker. Sheamus defeated Breakker by DQ on June 17 after Kaiser interfered, but Bron took them both out. Kaiser then defeated Breakker by DQ the next week due to Sheamus' interference.
Kaiser was not on RAW this week, but WWE did air a vignette from the second-generation German wrestler, who promised to return from his broken ribs to end Sheamus for good.
Kaiser is a noted fan of soccer, aka football. He previously declared his support for Germany's national football team, which is one of the most successful teams to compete internationally. The Union of European Football Associations is currently hosting the 2024 UEFA EURO 2024 tournament in Deutschland. Today's quarterfinal match saw Spain defeat Germany 2-1 to eliminate the host nation.

Kaiser received a shout-out from the WWE Deutschland account on X today. He also posted several supportive messages to Germany on his Instagram Stories, as seen below. The 33-year-old rallied the team with a patriotic caption at first, then encouraged the team to fight on. His third post expressed heartbreak over the loss.
Kaiser then re-tweeted the photo from WWE Deutschland and looked ahead to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament is being held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and Kaiser's caption indicates that he is hoping to attend some of the games.
"What a team! [German flag emoji] [hands clapping emoji] [right arrow soon emoji] #WorldCup2026 [American flag emoji]," Ludwig Kaiser wrote.
Kaiser went viral last month for trolling Scottish fans after the SmackDown held in Glasgow. He taunted the locals while Germany was wrapping up their 5-1 win over Scotland but ended up losing a dark main event to Sami Zayn.
WWE changes RAW plans due to injury
Ludwig Kaiser suffered an injury to the ribs during his recent WWE RAW match with Bron Breakker, which ended in DQ due to an attack by Sheamus. The injury led to a change in plans as Kaiser had been planned for a Money In the Bank qualifying match.
This week's go-home RAW was headlined by Drew McIntyre defeating Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov to qualify for the Men's MITB Ladder Match. Original plans called for Kaiser to work the match with The Scottish Warrior and The Celtic Warrior, according to Wrestlevotes. The legitimate injury forced officials to replace Kaiser with Dragunov.
Saturday's Men's MITB Ladder Match will feature six superstars. In addition to McIntyre, the marquee match will include Jey Uso, Andrade, LA Knight, Chad Gable, and Carmelo Hayes.
